Who it’s for

Self-managed and plan-managed participants

JD Therapy welcomes NDIS participants whose plans are self-managed or plan-managed. JD Therapy is not a registered NDIS provider, which is why NDIA-managed plans aren’t currently accepted.

If you’re not sure how your plan is managed, it’s shown in your plan, or you can ask your plan manager, support coordinator or the NDIS. You’re also welcome to get in touch and we can talk it through.

  • Adults, young people from 5 years, and parents or caregivers of a participant
  • Therapy that supports your goals and everyday life, at a pace that suits you
  • Progress reports, and reports to support plan reviews or reassessments
  • Functional capacity assessments
  • Telehealth Australia-wide, or outreach at home, school or in the community across Melbourne

Funding and fees

How NDIS psychology is funded

  • Budget category

Psychology is usually funded from the Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living part of your plan. Funding for younger children can work differently, so please check with your plan manager or early childhood partner.

  • Fees

NDIS psychology is charged in line with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits, up to the NDIS price limit, currently $252.99 per hour. The NDIS reviews its price limits each year.

  • Service agreement

Before we start, you’ll receive a service agreement that sets out the supports, fees, how invoices are sent to you or your plan manager, cancellations and how to raise concerns. Nothing begins until you’re comfortable with it.

Travel, reports and cancellations

Travel for outreach
Provider travel for outreach appointments may be charged in line with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements. Any travel is discussed and agreed with you, and written into your service agreement, before booking. Telehealth appointments have no travel.
Reports
Reports can include progress reports, reports to support a plan review or reassessment, and functional capacity assessment reports. Report writing is part of your NDIS supports, so the scope and estimated fee for any report are agreed with you beforehand.
Functional capacity assessments
A functional capacity assessment describes how someone manages everyday life, such as self-care, communication, social participation and learning, to provide information for NDIS planning or plan reviews. About assessments.
Cancellations
Cancellation arrangements for NDIS appointments are explained in your service agreement and follow the NDIS Pricing Arrangements.
